About Signia Hearing Aids

Signia hearing aids is part of the US based Sivantos Group. However, prior to the acquisition of Signia hearing aids by Sivantos in 2015, they were Siemens Hearing Aids and were part of the large German brand, Siemens.

Signia Hearing Aid Styles

Signia has a range of hearing aids including receiver-in-canal, in-the-ear, completely-in-canal, and behind-the-ear hearing aids. Signia also carries the silk hearing aids which are a non-custom completely-in-canal hearing aid and use standardised domes to accommodate different ear shapes and sizes. For those who prefer the look or earbuds than hearing aids, Signia also has a rechargeable earbud style hearing aid.

Signia Sound Processing in Hearing Aids

Signia sound processing focuses on capturing the dynamic nature of conversations in life. Its multi-stream architecture is capable of accurately pinpointing multiple moving speakers in real-time. The hearing aids fluidly adapt to enhance speech while reducing background noise even when the sound sources are moving. The hearing aids also take the wearers motion into account in every situation. This means whether it is the wearer or other speaker who is moving, the hearing aids accommodate for the movement to allow the conversation to continue uninterrupted.

Another technology Signia has focussed on relates to making the wearer’s own voice sound natural. Wearing a hearing aid can affect how the wearer hears their voice when they talk. Signia’s Own Voice Processing processes the wearer’s voice separately to make to sound more natural.

Signia Hearing Aid Bluetooth Connectivity

Signia’s Bluetooth technology allows for the hearing aids to connect to iPhone, Android and other Bluetooth enabled devices. This provides wearers with smartphones with the option to stream music, videos, and phone calls. iPhone users can even experience completely hands-free phone calls – perfect for wearers when they are on the go. The connectivity also supports the use of an app for wearer adjustments of the hearing aids which incorporates the Signia Assistant to help wearers adjust their hearing aids in challenging listening environments.

The Signia Assistant

This Assistant incorporates the use of AI to help the hearing aids learn the wearer’s preferences for optimal listening tailored to the wearer’s individual needs. The Signia Assistant also incorporates information about the hearing aids, so wearers have the answers to their questions at their fingertips. The app also incorporates TeleCare which is handy for when you need some professional adjustments to your hearing aids but are not able to attend the clinic. If you want to know more about how this technology can help you, speak to our expert hearing clinicians at Hearing Aid Specialists SA.

For those who need a bit of extra support, Signia also has a TV streamer so wearers can stream the TV directly to their hearing aids. There is also a separate microphone that can be used with Signia hearing aids. This microphone allows full hands-free audio streaming of phone calls and music from any Bluetooth device – including Android smartphones. It also works as remote microphone to enable easier conversations with your communication partner in noise.
